about me

Hello
Here’s a little bit about me, since you’re already here and you might be curious.  I’m working at Brown University in Providence as a postdoc. I graduated from Keio University in Japan in 2008 with an M.Sc. I earned my Ph.D. at University of Florida in 2013 (Go Gators!) and stumbled into what we call “postdoc life.”

I have taken what I learned from research and built my academic brand around it, all the while stimulating my passion for style and creativity for something new. I usually don’t label myself, except for a “curly hair chemist.”, but my current focus includes synthesizing nanocrystals, self-assembly, nanomaterials in general, and, above all else, paving my own road.

Highlighted research articles:  Adv. Mater. 2017, Nature 2018, Science 2018, and hopefully more are coming!
